About Ashburn

Ashburn Lutheran School is nestled in the Ashburn Community on Chicago’s southwest side. The Ashburn neighborhood is a well kept secret within the city. We are a safe community with an excellent housing market and only two stops from Union Station (the Loop) in downtown Chicago!

Ashburn Lutheran School is in its fiftieth year, and we could not be more proud of our school and its commitment to excellence. Our building is beautifully kept and our classrooms are well-equipped as well as being bright and airy. With one class per grade and a maximum enrollment of twenty four students per grade, your child will never be overlooked or denied the attention he or she needs to excel.

We have a stellar teaching staff that is committed to teaching in a parochial setting where faith and Christian values are spoken with conviction in every classroom. All of our teachers have degrees and many have advanced degrees in education or an education related field.

Our School Motto is: Yes, we can!

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the character as well as reading, mathematics, writing, and technology skills of all students. Our curriculum will promote and incorporate relevant religious, educational, cultural and social experiences to increase students learning, appreciation, respect, self-esteem and the ability to achieve academic success in a healthy, safe and productive environment. Ashburn Lutheran School will maintain a positive working relationship with parents and community members based on mutual respect and cooperation.

Philosophy

Ashburn Lutheran School is the educational ministry of Ashburn Lutheran Church. The members of our church have established and maintained our school because they believe we should provide a Christian education to those families who desire it for their children. As parents, we believe it should be important for your child to have a Christian education under the guidance of Christian teachers; and because you as parents have a real concern for the spiritual welfare of your children and family; because you believe that a Christian education is the best education for your child.
