Dear Friends of Ashburn Lutheran School,
You are cordially invited to celebrate Mrs. Olivia Neubauer’s 100th birthday on March 11, 2012. Olivia has taught at Ashburn Lutheran School since the school’s founding in 1963. She continues teaching reading three days a week for Pre-K and Kindergarten children and directs a spring play. A day full of festivities is planned and you are invited to help celebrate her work and her life.
100th Birthday Celebration Events
Sunday March 11
9:30 a.m. Worship with Thanksgiving for Mrs. Neubauer’s service to the school at Ashburn Lutheran Church, 3345 W. 83rd Street, Chicago, Illinois. Birthday cards and well wishes for Olivia will be presented that morning during worship. If you are not able to attend church, the church office will collect cards in advance of the service. Any gifts to the new Olivia Neubauer Annual Fund or Scholarship Fund should be sent separately to the office or given during Sunday’s offering, clearly marked in honor of Mrs. Neubauer. You are also welcome to present a new children’s book for our library in her honor during the Children’s Message.
10:45 a.m. Festive Coffee Hour
12:00 p.m. Gala Fundraiser Lunch at the Martinique, 8200 South Cicero Avenue in Burbank, Illinois. All proceeds will fund a new scholarship in Mrs. Neubauer’s name and the Annual Fund for the day school ministry. Adult tickets are $75 and tickets for children ten and under are $25.
